Genesis Aguilar

Director of Advisement & Career Services

Genesis Aguilar earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Florida International University and a Master’s degree in Higher Education with a focus in Enrollment Management from the American College of Education. She has proudly been part of the Miami Dade College family for more than 15 years and now serves as the Director of Advisement & Career Services, where she leads efforts to guide and empower students on their academic and career journeys.

Before stepping into her current role, Genesis served as the Assistant Director of the ACCESS Disability Services Department, where she was a passionate advocate for students with disabilities and worked to ensure that every student had the support they needed to succeed.

Outside of work, Genesis is a devoted mom to her 11-year-old son. She loves spending her evenings helping with homework, sharing laughs, and making memories together. Giving back to the community is also close to her heart—she volunteers with organizations like Farm Share and participates in initiatives that provide school supplies and essentials to children in need.

Always eager to help others, Genesis is also excited to assist those who need fingerprinting services through Legal Liaison Live Scan Fingerprints, continuing her mission of serving and supporting her community in meaningful ways.
